The Otago Rugby Football Union passed the “poisoned chalice” to Christchurch advertising agency - AMG Advertising - to fill Carisbrook Stadium for the Tri-Nations Test Match - AB’s v Springbok. After several years of being overlooked for a test match, Carisbrook had struggled to fill its seats. However, four weeks out and the tickets were sold, the stadium full and the fat lady was singing her lungs out.

The Otago Rugby Union has taken the bold move to step out of the sport promotion cliche by putting the “fun” back into their Super 14 team - The Highlanders.
